  • Hatha Yoga

    Thursdays 7.30-9.30pm

    Hatha Yoga offers significant physical and mental benefits, improving strength, flexibility, balance and posture through holding poses and controlled breathing. Mentally, it reduces stress, anxiety, and depression, boots focus and enhances sleep quality by calming the nervous system. Bernie has completed a Hatha Yoga teacher course and a Yin teacher course.   • Don't Fall For It

    23rd February, 11am - 12:30pm

    Join Marlene Dalziel (former Health Promotion Practitioner and current Pilates Instructor) for this falls prevention education program, focusing on prevention of falls and what to look out for such as medication interactions, eyesight, trip hazards etc. Our local allied health team deliverer these messages to many residents. We also demonstrate how to get up off the floor safely if you have a fall as well as how to help someone else up without injuring yourself. The session will also focus on some basic exercises you can do both seated and standing to improve your balance and core strength to aid this process. The session is very interactive and offers the opportunity for questions.
